I had to do my PT test today, and after maxing everything else, I was 5 seconds late with my run time. I needed a 9:48 or better for the 1 1/2 mile, but came in at 9:53

This idea reminds me of how my boys are when their playing. Having so much fun they’re completely oblivious to everyone around them. At least I got to draw my initials before getting squished.
I ran into a somewhat random Swat Kats reference today, so I thought ol’ Razor and T-Bone could use a doodle. As usual, it didn’t come out quite like I imagined, but I’ll blame it on sleepiness.
I was sitting outside letting the dog out and thought I’d doodle a little porch scene, which is odd, since I never seem to draw any backgrounds for my doodles. I hope we have a quiet little place like this someday.
After last week, it was nice to just draw on some paper again. As usual, I have no idea where this came from. Just popped in my head. Maybe those umbrellas pop up for a reason?
Tonight I finished shading all the characters, put in a background, and added other random things. In all, I wish it had turned out better, but I’m glad that it’s done.
Tonight I worked to add depth to the flat colors and change the lines from all black to instead correspond the color they surround. Tomorrow is the last day and I’ll shade and add background.
Tonight I laid down all the flat colors for this doodle series, which took quite a while. Tomorrow I’ll add color depth, and change the line color to match.
This is the second days work on the weeks project. I imported the sketch into inkscape and drew the lines with my little Wacom tablet. I definitely do better work with a real pen, but I wanted to do this all on the computer. I need the practice anyway. Tomorrow flat colors.
I decided to do another 5 part series this week, and all I could think of drawing were the Thundercats. It’s not really cheating though since there are five of them. Tomorrow I’ll do inks on the computer.
Here’s a little thumbnail I did to figure out the layout.
This was another random idea that became a doodle. I bet this kid is a little turd too. I think I’m getting a little bit better with doodling on the computer, but I really wish I had one of those Wacom Cintiq monitors/pads. Anybody got a spare they’re not using.
I just figure out today that you can import svg paths into blender, which means that I can hopefully draw stuff in Inkscape (where I’m comfortable) and then do 3D effects in blender (where I have no idea what I’m doing). Have to find the time to figure it out though.
I’m not really sure where this idea came from, but it just popped in my head. He was so upset when his ice cream tumbled, he forgot to hold onto of his balloon. This is normal of most childhood tragedies I suppose.
I guess I always assumed that 9 would be in 3D since it’s from the same studio that did Coraline. I’m heading out tonight after the boys go to bed to see it, bummer it’s only in 2D though…
