Doodle 440 – Boba Fett Cheats

Doodle 440 - Boba Fett Cheats

Even when playing an innocent game of Marco Polo with the other kids, young Boba would always kick on the jetpack and start blasting away at anyone brave enough to say “Polo”.  Such a cheater…

Tonight is the season finally of Clone Wars, which is supposed to revolve around young Boba and his revenge.

I also made a couple intermediate versions of this doodle as I was coloring it.

Doodle 439 - Boarding Juggernaut

So if Juggernaut is unstoppable once he gets moving, would that still work if he was skateboarding?

Doodle 438 - War Machine Smores

Stark Industires was certain that with a little more fine tuning, they could get their repulsor-based cooking products into every american kitchen.  Testing continues…

Just thought I’d doodle up War Machine and this is the silly thing that popped in my head.

Doodle 437 – Not the Face!

Doodle 437 - Not the Face!

This was an iterative doodle which started out as a single finger, then one of the Veggie Tales veggies with turban from Josh and the Big Wall, to the freaked out hockey player.  No idea why…

Doodle 436 – Chibi Webslinger

Doodl3 436 - Chibi Webslinger rough colors

I had this regular ink pen handy in class so I thought I’d take it for a spin (way too messy)!  It seems whenever I’m in doubt I draw one of these cutesy versions of a comic book hero, so since Spidey is my little one favorite, he go the treatment.  Yes, I know the hand placement is awful, but I’m too lazy to redraw it and I was having fun with the messy ballpoint.

Doodle 435 – Slushy Facial Guessing Game

Doodle 435 - Slushy Facial Guessing Game

The wife and I were able to get through a couple more Glee episodes tonight, and I love the scenes that start with just a hand holding a Slushy cup trolling through the hallways.  I’ve started just randomly guessing who’s going to “get it,” which is usually wrong.

Doodle 434 - Nerf Blasters

I bought the boys matching Nerf blasters today, so they can run around the woods with something other then empty water guns, and they can engage some of the neighborhood kids who have quite the Nerf arsenal.  I was impressed by the simple engineering of the blasters so I had to doodle up a schematic.

Doodle 433 - Agent 6

Tonight Cartoon Network had the season premiere of a new show called Generator Rex, which is made by the same folks as the Ben10 cartoons.  It looks pretty good so I’ll see how it goes over the next few episodes.  I still wish the Avatar:TLA crew would dazzle us all with something new!

This is Agent 6 from the show, Rex’s mentor/babysitter.

Doodle 432 - PF Changs

Today thanks to some magic alignment of planets or something, I took the day off from work, the wife didn’t have any classes, and the boys were both in school.  Date Day!!!  We did a little window shopping at the mall (yawn), ate at PF Changs for lunch(pricey but good), and saw Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey(super funny).

Doodle 431 – Hamster Wheel

Doodle 431 - Hamster Wheel

I had to run on a quarter mile track this morning, which I always equate to a hamster wheel.  I’d much rather run on an open course then do laps.

Doodle 430 - Random Face Shapes

There is a really interesting post on the Art Center blog about making faces out of shapes so I thought I would give it a try.  Just ignore the guy in the bottom right corner.

Doodle 429 - Metropolis Cleaning-bot

I noticed tonight that the anime movie Metropolis was on Netflix, so I finally got a chance to watch it after the boys went to bed.  I’d heard a lot of good things in the past about this movie and honestly expected a little more from the story, but the mix of animation and CG was really good, especially for it’s time.

Doodle 428 - Martian Manhunter Award

You ever notice how the Oscar kind of looks like the Martian Manhunter?  No?

Doodle 427 – Pump it Up!

Doodle 427 - Pump it Up!

Both of our boys were invited to a birthday party today at Pump it Up! and they had a blast.  I resisted the urge to join them in the bouncy castle goodness for a little while, but after the other dads joined in, I had to as well.  I was smoking kids on the obstacle course, except for those times that I got half stuck getting in it in the first place.
