This was the third box cover I did for our 10 year old.

This is what the clock finally ended up looking like when I got it all working. It’s based on differing opacity so you should be able to put a background picture behind it too…
Check it out here.
I wanted to make a clock using the canvas element of HTML5, but was sad to find that it’s still not supported in all browsers. Instead I decided to try doing something with css and divisions. I sized everything by em’s so it scales super easily to be the full height of the window. This is the layout before I got the clock mechanics working.
The boys had their old tub of duplo blocks out this morning and I made them a Recognizer from Tron so I thought I would doodle one for today. Only a few more months until the movie!!!
Tonight, we watched a little bit of Prince Caspian, and I gave our 10 year old son our Chronicles or Narnia book, so he can just read the books instead of asking a billion questions. My favorite character has to be Reepicheep, who is coming back in the next movie this fall!
I finally had a chance to watch the latest DC movie Batman: Under the Red Hood, which was really good though pretty violent. This is my idea of what the plot would have boiled down to if they had tried to make it a family friendly flick.
This was the second textbook our oldest son brought home.
With the start of the new school year, our oldest has several textbooks he needs to cover so I told him I’d draw something on them if he brought them home. This is the first one he brought home.
This was a request to draw either the Red Hulk or something Star Trek. As usual, I tried to put them both together in one doodle. I barely had any time to color it, but thought It wouldn’t make much sense without it.
I’ve had quite a few people say that I should draw more crocodiles, so this play on words popped in my mind and I had to doodle it!
This was a request for a 50ft tall Bert from the Racoons TV show. I thought I would have him chasing away the bad guy Cyril Sneer and use perspective to show his size.
I’ve been getting behind on the requests lately, so I thought I would try to catch up this weekend. Someone at work asked me to put the debate about pirates vs ninjas to bed, and combine the two. So, we had a lengthy discussion about what traits of each to use, and this was the result. I’ll probably get it colored sometime soon.
I made something similar to this at work today, so I thought I would reproduce it for a doodle. I was going for a glossy glowing field growing out over the dull bar.
