One of the best parts of Eon Kid is the character design for all the different robot characters. This is one of Black Beauty’s ninja bots. Several of the other good and bad characters had their own distinctive robot forces that they led.

Another great character from the Eon Kid show is Gaff the Eon family Guardian. He’s a mystery for the first few episodes of the show, but eventually he and Marty start battling side by side which is pretty awesome.
Today we found a TV show on NetFlix that we hadn’t seen in 5-6 years. It’s called the Eon Kid, and is about this boy who is destined to save the world from an evil robot general. When it was originally on, somehow we missed the last 2-3 episodes, so it was nice to see it again and we’ll finally get to see how it ended.
So after the last few days of hearing the Real Steel commercials during some of the kids shows, I had an evening with a little free time, and I thought I’d go and see the movie. Well, those commercials were lacking the normal narrated “In theaters Oct 7th” at the end so I incorrectly assumed it was released. Guess I have to wait a few more weeks.
This was brought on by the new commercials for the inexpensive robot daycare. This is a dog walking bot, with built-in pooper-scooper.
I thought that really expensive underwear must be put through it’s paces to make sure it ready to be sold. Certainly there’s some robot out there right now performing this vital service.
I had an idea to make a little hotrod themed robot, but never ended up having much time to doodle it. This is sort of what I was thinking of, but not quite right. Maybe another day?
This was a drawing my 10 year old did of General Grievous after watching the original Clone Wars cartoons. He asked if I would put it up on the blog which I was more then happy to do. I thought I’d draw the good general myself today, but putting those arms to better use.
Cartoon Network decided to move the Genndy Tartakovsky show Sym-Bionic Titan show to Wednesday nights for some odd reason. The last few episodes have spent a lot of time focusing on the robot character Octus. Overall the show is well animated but it’s been getting darker and more violent lately, so I may have to stop letting the boys watch it.
I was flipping through the Play Station store today I decided to check out some of the free comic books that they had and found a pretty cool title called Atomic Robo. It’s definitely worth taking a look at.
Big Buy (BGY-11) popped in my head today for an art card subject, so that’s what I doodled. I thought his simplicity would be a benefit at first, but it left no margin for error. There are a few lines in there I wish I had laid down a little better.
One of the things the boys got for Christmas was the uDraw system for the Wii, so I thought I would give it a try for today’s doodle. Since it’s the year of the rabbit, that was the first thing I tried. I wasn’t the happiest with the results so I started a robot doodle, but then mostly gave up on it. Overall, I think it’s a fun toy for the kids and is super easy to use, but doesn’t really stand up to either of my Wacom tablets.
The Disney channel had Wall-E on the other night and I recorded it, so I sat down and watched it with the boys after we got back from the park and a really long walk.
