Doodle 1024 – Mini Mugg

Doodle 1024 - Mini Mugg

We made a run to the store tonight and I found these cute new Iron Man Mini Muggs.  I have a bunch of the regular sized Mighty Muggs and always wanted the Comic Con Iron Man version, so these are perfect.  4 minute doodle tonight with a little time to spare.

Note the digital friendly doodle number for Mr. Stark…

Doodle 1012 – Bucket Head Dr. Fate

Doodle 1012 - Bucket Head Dr. Fate

Another great comic book helmet, and it was prominently featured tonight on the new Young Justice episode.  Here’s to Dr. Fate…

Doodle 1011 – The Cat’s Hat

Doodle 1011 - The Cat's Hat

Tomorrow is Theodore Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss’) birthday and our son’s elementary encouraged the kids to dress up as characters from his books.  We didn’t really have anything we could have him wear, so my wife found something online that showed making a headband hat thingy, so this is what I came up with.

Doodle 1010 - Bucket Head Dr Doom

Continuing the streak of great comic bucket heads, here the great Victor Von Doom!

Doodle 1009 – Bucket Head Iron Man

Doodle 1009 - Bucket Head Iron Man

I got this idea to draw some of my favorite bucket headed characters from comics, so I had to start with Iron Man.  Here’s hoping the Avenger’s movie this summer is amazing!  (Captain America’s helmet looks dumb.)

Doodle 1003 – Kung Fu Panda 2 DVD

Doodle 1003 - Kung Fu Panda 2 DVD

Tonight for our Friday night move we’re going to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 so I sketched this panda up while I was on hold on the phone at work.  We also caught the Kung Fu Panda Holiday Special that was on tv this earlier this week.

Doodle 996 - Toothless Christmas

I just saw today that they are making a How To Train Your Dragon Christmas DVD, which I will definitely need to purchase, since I loved that movie so much.  I’m very excited…

Doodle 993 – Odosketch Kermit

Doodle 993 - Odosketch Kermit

One more Odosketch piece, this one of Kermit the frog from the Muppets.  I’m really hopeful that the new movie will be successful enough to keep the Muppets alive and introduce them to the children of today, but not so wildly successful that the fools in Hollywood will ruin it with forced/inadequate sequels.

Doodle 967 – Eon Kid Ninja

Doodle 967 - Eon Kid Ninja

One of the best parts of Eon Kid is the character design for all the different robot characters.  This is one of Black Beauty’s ninja bots.  Several of the other good and bad characters had their own distinctive robot forces that they led.

Doodle 966 - Buttons

Playing the stooge/comic relief role in Eon Kid is Buttons, Marty’s faithful robot dog.  Honestly, his constant whining is a little much most of the time, but on occasion he has a funny moment.

Doodle 965 – Gaff the Guardian

Doodle 965 - Gaff the Guardian

Another great character from the Eon Kid show is Gaff the Eon family Guardian.  He’s a mystery for the first few episodes of the show, but eventually he and Marty start battling side by side which is pretty awesome.

Doodle 964 - Marty the Eon Kid

Today we found a TV show on NetFlix that we hadn’t seen in 5-6 years.  It’s called the Eon Kid, and is about this boy who is destined to save the world from an evil robot general.  When it was originally on, somehow we missed the last 2-3 episodes, so it was nice to see it again and we’ll finally get to see how it ended.

Doodle 963 - Pacha

Another not so mainstream movie today, this is Pacha from The Emperor’s New Groove, voiced by John Goodman.  A simple family man, who is the heart of the whole story.

Doodle 962 - Archimedes

Thinking of a few of the more obscure Disney movies, I thought I’d doodle Archimedes from The Sword in the Stone.  He was the voice of reason for many scenes in the movie and the comic relief for many others.  Grumpy owls who are self absorbed are always worth drawing.
